the process

I met Tori and got familiar with her photography through my Copywriting at LCBC Church. Her photography is a beautiful blend of natural light and capturing the best moments of any day—and she is such a sweet soul.

What started as a joke about helping her clean out her inbox turned into an opportunity for me to become an email assistant for her business. We discovered together that I have a knack for taking her words and getting them onto paper (or in this case, in an email) quickly and naturally, and that I could pick up her brand voice & style and give her clients a consistent experience throughout their booking process.

Over the past year and a half, I’ve been getting into tori co.’s email once a week for 2-3 hours per week and cleaning, organizing, editing, and responding to clients. Emails that Tori wants to personalize start in a Google Doc that she can edit and send later, while emails that pertain to normal client interaction get sent while I’m working in her inbox.

Through this process I’ve been able to provide a thorough experience for Tori’s clients by making sure they receive prompt responses, don’t get lost in the mix (she gets A LOT of emails!), and are given personal attention.

Tori is honestly one of the sweetest people that I know. She is kind and smart and SO talented, and working for her has been a dream. I love using what comes more naturally to me to make her business the best it can be!
